Cant wait for NSVs

I have had a weekend full of ' God I cannot wait for Surgery' moments:

Firstly, sitting on the loo with half a bum cheeky on the sanitary bin!
Secondly, getting my butt stuck in a tub seat in a coffee shop
Thirdly, spending two hours at a BBQ worrying that the chair was going to break into a thousand pieces!
The list goes on

Hearing nasty remarks from total strangers in a park, made me cry :-(

A size 24 not fitting me in Asda!

Feeling scruffy at work compared to slimmer people on their lovely suits.

Puffy ankles

Anyway! Positive thoughts from now on! Think I might make myself a list of this crap stuff to look at when I am having wobbles! Surgery on 29th and it cannot come soon enough!

I promise those NSV are coming to you and many more too. All those things have come to me (Apart from the size 24 but I'm now a 26, I was a 36!) and I'm only 9 weeks post op. These things are closer than you think. Just weeks away now. Like you say positive thoughts because it really isn't long to wait now. Best of luck for you surgery :) x

Yep thats what you need to do, make a list and put it where you can see it. People can be really nasty, and at a size 24 in Asda not fitting you are no wher near as big as me when i started my preop diet I was a 30-32. So stay positive and focussed there are alot of people in a much worse position than you, but this is your chance and i am sure you will do just fine. these little blips are really horrendous things to deal with for us, and anyone who hasn't been in the situation just cannot comprehend how terrible and how these kind of comments can sabotage our confidence and day to day normal living and doing everyday things. Shocking, good luck with the op won't be too long now. xx:8855::):):D

Apart from the commonly mentioned, I remember things like....

Costume jewellery necklaces not long enough
People looking whenever I ate in public
Bruised thighs off camping seats
Not daring to breathe in theatre seats in case I took up half of my neighbours space
People always expecting me to be the 'joker' - fat & jolly.....

Now...
I have a neck
Can sit with my legs crossed and be comfy
Am funny coz I want to be...

I can't wait for more NSVs!

All of the above will be a distant memory hen you get your NSV. & they will come to you. Had one yesterday reading Prima magazine's fashion features & choosing hat I want to buy next. Got to end of feature & there was a bit on Ecpvans & I just flicked over the oge coz wadn't even interested. Don't HAVE to shop thre anymore.

So sorry iPad has a mind of its own at mo. doesn't like the broadband down here in France.
Evans

Yes I went into Evans today nothing in there for me now, even the x catalogue shop most things were too big of how the tables are turning. Been out with my 2 older sisters to day when i come to get in the car our middle sis said eeh doesn't she look thin today in them clothes and the oldest said she does but you can tell by the lines round her mouth she's lost weight, Back handed compliment???? I love to look in the shop windows and seemy new reflection yet in shops i still look at 20-22 and i am now really 18-20 depending on which shop, was at the start 32 mainly, head just can't take it in. x

Oh wow you've done very well. Feels great doesn't it.

NSVs rule! I cried the other day with joy because I was on the Internet looking for a team GB shirt and realised I could buy a woman's one and not a mans one like I usually do coz I can't get a top in my size!!!!!!! yaaYyyyy!!!! The day I buy some regular Welles I won't need to tell you on here coz you'll all hear me! :)

Oh I can't wait to get into shoes, normal shoes, my feet are that broad n fat it cripples me to get shoes on, n I can't wait to wear long riding boots, I haven't worn um since I was a kid, n get back in saddle n ride horses again!!! Oh I can't wait xxx

I've had several in the past couple of weeks:

Though a photograph of my wrist was of my skinny SIL!
Hubby thought a hard bit in my bum (he cracks my back and massages me) was tight muscle and it was bone! (I did giggle!)
Coming down the escalator in Primark there's a huge mirror. I thought it was distorted and moved around 'cos I didn't recognise myself.
Watch now 2 notches tighter.
New belt already gone up a notch
Size 14 knickers on today
Daughter and I can sit side by side in the rocking chair

Erm, there's more but that's all I can think of at the minute. I really must write them down.

Nelly plant - those are lovely. I'm so happy for you.

I remembered another one.

I can get in one leg of my PJ's. They aren't stretchy either and I made them to go into hospital with. Must get a photo.

I know I'm not supposed to like this sort of sexist behaviour, but I couldn't help feeling quite smug about the two youngish council workers I saw at 5.30am the other morning taking a break on a park bench on the Southbank in London - as I walked past one smiled at me then turned to the other and said "mmmm, hot!"

I'm not used to that sort of funny business!! I did have a spring in my step for the rest of the day!!

Another for me today.

Bought new jeans

Size 14! What? Really? Me? Yep. Still not come down from that high yet and grinning from ear to ear!

Really daft question coming . . .

NSV? stands for what? lol

I'm in the middle of clothes are getting too big but what do I buy?????. I was getting may bag ready and I have 2 pairs of pj's, they are in my original size 30-32 and the trousers are so big my 5yr can fit in them with me already.
It's taken me 10yrs to get from that weight to where I am now.

Where did everyone get their "in between clothes" or was it just a case of buying all the time?

Clar01 make your list so think about sitting in that patio chair at a BBQ and it not bring an issue or cource of intense Internal panic! - my list was massive and as I've achieved them ive ticked them off :)

Ah, obvious really LMAO thank you!
