Changing Faces

I had my opp back in October of last year and am very happy with how things have been progressing but has anyone had trouble getting used to their new face and really missing the old one! Don't get me wrong i don't miss my body size just seeing the same face in the mirror is something that as a human being is always the same and a great comfort:!!:confused:

yeah I am almost 11months post, my face has changed very much, but i look so tired n pale at times, i have lines around my mouth where i think was bit fatter, but its not me looking back you are very right its bit unsettling. x

I have only lost 50 odd pounds so far but already my face is changing and it worries me as I think I will end up looking older and saggy!!!! still hopefully I will now live longer and grow into it!!!

when I had my gastroplasty I was 24 stone when I went down to 12 stone it really upset my mum as she said i looked really ill my face had changed that much

I love my weight loss but Feeling weird about appearance changes. I can see some but get very freaked out when family & friends say you look like a different person. I'm still me & I know they mean it in a nice way, I look younger, fitter, pain-free etc but it kinda hurts!
Guess we have to deal with it as we progress & honestly never want to go back.
Mind you don't like the wriggles appearing especially around neckline. Now another plastic surgery thing to save up for LOL.

When I lost a lot of weight last time, I hadn't been that size since I was a teenager. My face had definitely changed since losing weight and since being a teenager. I got a shock every time I looking in the mirror. I realised I actually had a longer face and not round one, it was only round because of my fat but I did get use to it and realised I actually looked better. Now I'm looking forward to getting back there. The only thing that concerns me is is wrinkles, now I'm in my 30's but I think I will get over that as I know I suit being thinner and health for some wrinkles is a good trade off. I think you'll get use to it eventually :)

I am very happy about my face changing I look like who I always wanted to be. I am a different person now than I was then and I love to see the younger, happier girl looking back at me. I do have days I feel really fat and go back to being the big girl but mostly I am the new me though I am a little vain now as like looking nice and having photos done.

Yeah, i like my slimmer face, i have a round face anyways so its still round but minus the double chin. I also like the fact i can see my collar bones now.

The more slimmer my face gets the more worried I am about getting wrinkles! My fat face had no wrinkles at all!
I hope i don't end up- looking like a Shar-Pei! :fingerscrossed:
I love Fren Britten but she really aged since she lost her chubby face. Dawn French looks fab post weight loss so I hope I will. :D

Ive always liked my face but I'm enjoying the new one with collar bones and nodounle chin. My one worry is that ive only lost 4 stone and with 7 more to lose will my face get too bony.

I have only lost 5 stone 6lb but my face is the one thing every comments on! I love that my neck doesn't look like a tree trunk, and that I now have collar bones... ooo and that I can feel my hip bones too! :)
I'm excited t see what the next 5 stone makes me look like!

I never thought I'd get used to my new face, but it comes with time and now I don't remember the old me at all.

My face looked great for the first 5 stone then it flopped, sagged and crumpled. I don't recognise myself. I look very old for my age. I look like a much older version of my mother (who died young) which upsets me and my whole family. I never looked like her at all before but now everyone can see what she'd have looked like if she got older and it freaks them out. I have no prettiness or femininity to my face ( strange as my mum was good looking) and I do feel down about it. However, I do my best with my hair and make-up and am much better groomed than I used to be. I'm generally down about all of my skin but feeling fitter, normal and able to but nice clothes really does help to compensate for it.
After all, we can't have everything
xx

I love mine, everyone's tells me I look ten years younger (luckily)!
