has anyone had phoenix healthcare and the countess hospital for a bypass?...that's where I am referred(sp) to I am waiting to hear from them now. Like a cat on a hot tin roof nervous does not cover it.

Reading up its got a new bariatric suite/services what are they like is it a ward or rooms..

I wont inundate questions here any answers are welcome.

I am actually in tears right now... just found out I have the funding and have been passed to the team and just need to wait on the appointment

So I am overwhelmed and chuffed pleased and in shock and good luck.. are you going to the countess too?...are you excited, what preparation have you gone into

the dietician told me that they have a whole new special ward for us plumpies to use ...not sure if it is open yet? is that ward 41?

Hi Jo forgot about this forum! Yes I believe ward 41 is the special ward for us. AKA Abbey ward. I got my letter yo confirm camera next Tuesday and surgery the Tuesday after. My letter says that I will be under Prof. Kerrigan so Im assuming he will be doing my surgery. Id love to meet up for a chat if you've got time. I'll msg you with my phone number if you fancy meeting up too. Sue

OFCOURSE! will be latter tho as I have a hyped up on cinema slush 6 yrs old running about so wont get any peace till about 7 is that okay for you?

Sorry Jo I only just checked my tablet so I missed your msg. How about meeting over the weekend? I also have children, two girls 8 and 5. I can come to you or meet you in sandbach, but as I'm pre-op weight losing I'd prefer to meet somewhere without temptation so I'll happily pop to yours for a cuppa! My BMI is 72 so I'm a lot bigger than you... but without the added complications. I'm having a two part sleeve followed by optional bypass in 1-2 years. I recieved my letter from Phoenix confirming surgery dates etc today and found out my surgeon is Prof Kerrigan (unless I'm reading it wrong of course!)
