chewing food then spitting it out

I think you need to talk to your dietician. Your previous posts about eating too much when actually you were might be under eating, plus this is concerning. Speak to your dietician and follow their rules to the letter and don't spit out food! that is eating disorder behaviour, you need to be careful, it is something that can happen post op. Take care and keep us updated. We are all here for you xx

Are you spitting it out because you are choosing not to eat it? Or is it that you are 'sliming' ie that it will not go down the band so the only way is back up?

If it's happening a lot you need to get advice and quickly. As stated above it's important to establish whether this is a physical or psychological thing. either way, if it occurs often it needs sorting.
if it's just a matter of now and again you chew something and then it becomes apparent it's not breaking down to a swallowable consistency that is a different matter altogether. I've had a bypass and for example if I chew an bit of cooked onion and there is a tough bit of skin it doesn't matter if I chew it for an hour it's never going to be in a state that I can swallow it so it has to discreetly leave my mouth the same way it went in.

:D great
