I has anyone had chicken soup without the sweet corn from Chinese at purée stage I go onto soft food tomoz ? X

I wouldn't, it'll be full of msg, fat and sugar. Personally, when I was on purée, I wouldn't have contemplated eating any take away food so soon post op. I used to purée Heinz big soups and they were lovely.

I am a bit of a newbie, my provider gave me a list of food in red for try to avoid forever.... one was sweetcorn, one pips, one fibrous vegetable, apparently sweetcorn does not digest, maybe others here can advise better. after 5 months out chicken for me still does not stay down maybe you have it blended ? within the soup, anyway good luck with it.

I love sweetcorn and have it at least once usually twice a week, I also eat all kinds of veg (apart from spuds but thats because even a teaspoon of potato fills me up) Only 2 things my provider said *never* to and that was chewing gum & fizzy drinks.

Lucky you I still cannot eat potato nor lots of other things ! I think providers vary so much and that is why I am always hesitant to comment, luckily you were able to put the situation right, we are all very different of tolerances it seems some can eat anything !

Its always worth commenting as even if it helps just 1 person its worth it, as you said we are all different and each provider gives different advice, its like a minefield we have to pick our way thru :8855:

YEAH I WAS WARNED ABOUT SWEETCORN IT CAUSES WIND AS WELL IF YOU HAVE IT WITH PEAS CAN CAUSE BAD TRAPPED WIND. I HAVE SUFFERE THE HARD WAY STILL LIKE IT BUT DON'T HAVE IT OFTEN. also IN THE EARLY DAYS CABBAGE WAS A NONO AS WAS SALD BECAUSE IT IS STRINGY AND CANGET CAUSGHTY GOING THROUGH THE JOIN OF THE POUCH TO BOWEL. yoU WILL KNOW IF IT GETS STUCK PAIN IS HORRENDOUS. I NOW HAVE BUSCOPAN WHEREVER I GO BECAUSE IF IT STARTS THAT HELPS QUITE QUICKLY AND MOVES THINGS THROUGH THE SYSTEM FOR ME. XX

Thank you everyone . I know about the sweet corn but I've had chicken puréed and I've been fine thankfully. Everyone is different but I know corn has a shell so hard to digest . X

i personally if going the soup route would make my own just to be safe
