Christmas Pounds!!!!

Hi

I am going in for a gastroectomy tomorrow and have put on a couple of pounds over christmas. Really worried in case they cancel everything when i get there. Does anyone have experience like this before?

Did you not have to do a liver shrinking diet pre-op?

I have not had surgery yet, this is the tube down the throat tests. ?Not got a date yet

At the appointment with the surgeon I was made to sign a small contract saying that if I gained more than 5kg from that date, I wouldn't be allowed surgery until I'd lost it again. Did you have anything like that? I also have to do a pre-op diet for 2 weeks before!

No, I havent signed anything like that. I was doing so well before christmas, and its only two pounds i just hope its not a deal breaker! :cry:

Oh my bad i thought a gastroectomy was an operation, you should be ok to go ahead for a gastroscopy

lol that was my fault butterfly, i couldnt remember what it was called. sorry. just hope when they weigh me they dont cancel as its only two pounds

Yeah, in surgery "ectomy" means removal and "oscopy" means look at with a camera
