I am due first fil tomorrow received letter two weeks ago but didn't have any info on procedure i.e. what to eat drink or when to stop etc so I phoned them and was told not to worry as someone would phone night before. It's now 10pm and no one has phoned. I have to say I am feeling more than a little miffed as after care that I have paid for seems very poor. Since banding I have only received two phone calls one a week after op to see if I was ok and a phone call two weeks ago from a dietician that gave very little advice. Anyone else had this problem?

hi there, sorry to hear that you havent received any info regarding your band fill tomorrow, but you sometimes find this problem with some companies. The best advice that i can pass on to you is not to eat or drink anything for 2 to 3 hours before your first band fill as you dont know how your stomach will react, this is what my bariatric nurse advised, and i never have any problems with my fills. Hope it goes well for you. Julie

what time of day is the fill appointment ?

you can have lunch no problems at all i usually have my fills 3pm, and ive always had lunch at approx 12 ish in the day, by 5.15 the pouch wil be well clear of food, you will be ok.
