happy days

I've had toast this morning for breakfast which I do most mornings. Ten mins later I went all hot and fell into a deep sleep for the last 40 minutes.
These are classic dumping systems for me.
But is this even possible over 2 yrs post op and off something I eat all the time.

Some said that dumping can occur if your blood sugar levels are already high? Have you had sugary things before your toast?

Thank god I'm not the only one this happens to!!! I'm nearly 2 years out too & I'm noticing I'm dumping more & more... I dumped on Friday night after a couple of small slices of pizza (never had this problem before) & then last night I had a serious dump after having a few drinks whilst watching the rugby yesterday afternoon (apparently my OH couldn't wake me I was in that deep a sleep!)
I'm finding also that my dumping is delayed, it could be up to an hour after I've eaten/drank something before I pass out (my dumping is very similar to yours!)
X

I hadn't long been out of bed. Had toast and coffee like I do 90% of mornings. Never dumped for a very long time and never been off toast before. Even now I feel really lethargic.

It's scary how deep of a sleep I go into. Just like you I can't be woke up.

I wonder if its something to do with the body healing the absorption issues around 2 years out?

God knows yvessa.
Iam two years gone feb, it wud be interesting to know how many other long termers it has happened to. I've never really dumped much threw the whole process maybe half dozen times and always the same symptoms.

I had my first dumping experience on holiday 11 and a half months out last week. I had a glass of orange juice. I've always been very good about sugar but I found I could drink orange juice without watering it down. Maybe their sugar content was higher but I had the juice and within a few minutes I had my head down the toilet and passed out in bed for about 4 hours. It was awful. No one could wake me up either. My mum was quite worried. I think things can change depending on our surgery and how we act over time x

At least we seem to get off lucky in regards to dumping. Iam glad it's just sleep and toilet issues. You hear of some people having palpitations and sweating really bad dizziness and generally feeling ill.
