Considering a Gastric Bypass

Hi I am new to this forum,

I have received NHS funding for this but before taking the next step I would like to know how others have coped with what is a serious undertaking.

Will I be able to cope with such a complete change of lifestyle, also have husbands or partners been supportive and if so in what way please.

I would be so pleased to hear any comments so that I can make and informed choice.

It might help you to browse through the gastric bypass diaries. In summary, six months out, only you know if you will be willing to make the lifestyle changes. If you are committed they don't actually seem that huge and the payoff happens so quickly. I love my bypass. I have had incredible support from my partner in every way. Encouragement, belief in me when I didn't have it, physical help when I needed it and adapting to a new way of eating and changes in our lifestyle.
