Constant burning 1 week post op

Hi all, hand my band surgery on Monday and was expecting to feel better by now. I am however experience a lot of pain at port sight so much so sometimes I physically can't move. I'm also experiencing what feels like a blockage/burning in my wind pipe/ throat constantly and then every 15 min it gets really bad for about 30 sec. Anyone else experienced this?

All i ever had was a little wind pain in my shoulder, never any port pain, so i am no expert. maybe someone will be along soon, who has more of an idea. Is the burning feeling ... reflux? May be worth calling the hospital for some guidance? Hope you feel better soon X

Hi toll I'm nearly 4 weeks post op and had wind pain for about 2 weeks was uncomfortable but didn't feel like burning found it eased of the more I would walk round I must of looked like a loon pacing round the house also had bad port pain for about 3 weeks felt really tender all the time could not sleep on my side and worse when I was standing felt like my fat was pulling port open open but all feels good now an worth it as I'm now 21lb lighter go for my first fill Wednesday an hoping everything is as it should be when I get my X-ray. Good luck hun but I'm sure everything fine

I would ring them.

I had the wind pain and still have a bit of port pain but not tthe burning.

Have now rang them, they are going to take the 1ml out which I'm not sure will make any difference? X

It might Hun I never had any fluid put in when my band got put in some surgeons don't put any fluid in at all to let you get over the surgery an swelling

1 mil can make a massive amount of difference. When are you having it removed?
