Your stats dont say what surgery you have had or when you had it. Could we have more info please.

I don't know how to do stats or see other peoples either. I've had the sleeve 2 weeks 1 day post op xb

Would you be able to take Fybogel? I am pre-op and take it every day because I have Diverticulosis and it is marvellous. It is very gentle on the system.

Not much help but I am in the same boat, 8 days post op and not been at all, I am on the second day taking Senna Max tablets and apart from a lot of gurgelling not a lot is happening. Mind you I never had the most active transit before surgery so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I am eating such small amounts I suppose it's taking ages to fill up before I can empty, well I hope so anyway.

Have you tried lactulose? I took rather too much of it post sleeve and it worked dramatically and where I didn't want it to work (let's say NOT in the loo) but it worked!! I've learned to treat it with more respect now!

My doc won't give me senna yet said its too harsh for this early post op ! Lactulose urghhh if I had to I would and fybogel no way could I I served it to patients for years and turned my stomach ! I have no desire to go no pain nothing but doc is saying I have to go soon or enema

Hi Milly

I am 6 months post op sleeve and my bowl movements are quite sporadic one week I will be frequent and another like this week I might not go for days !

It took me 2 weeks to open my bowls after my op my docter suggested glycerine suppositories not the most comfortable or dignified of things but needless to say they work.

Try to relax I know it's easy for me to say but if you are stressed about it aswel your body will pick up and prolong things .

Anyways happy losing peeps

Love

The reason I asked about which op you had and when you had it is because of your original question about smooth orange juice.
The sugar content can be high, so watch out for that, also I think you would need a heck of a lot of orange juice on a daily basis for it to have an effect on your bowels and your tummy wont tolerate that very well.
I used to use unsweetened prune juice and prunes.
It worked very well for me and Im glad you started this thread because I really needed a reminder of what I used to do to sort constipation out.

You wont be putting enough in to stimulate the urge yet,do try to relax about this.Eat sensibly, water and walking will all help get back into the swing of things!

That what I am hoping it is with me, my food intake is tiny compared to what it was pre-op and even then I only used to every three days or so. My team recommend milk of magnesia for constipation, don't know how good it is though as I have not tried it yet.
