Conversion didn't happen!

Hi All,

Well I've just come home today after going in for band removal and conversion to bypass. The band is out but surgeon could not convert to bypass as too much scar tissue from band! Feeling gutted!

He said that I need to wait for 3-4 months for scar tissue to settle and he will get me in and do it then! He said it was just too risky.

Sorry to hear that you're half done. I was lucky enough to get my band out and bypass done in the same procedure.

I wish I'd known about the scarring that bands cause before I had mine, but I'm not sure I'd have done things differently

oh my how sad that must feel,but like your surgeon said its too risky
I wish you a speedy recovery and for you to have part 2 of your op completed
