Cortisone warning!

Just a quicky,I have contact urticuria(hives)probably brought on by spraying weedkiller in the garden.Doc has given me a non steroid,non drowsy anti histamine.We have to be careful with our new stomachs as oral cortisone can cause problems.Just to make you aware.Always check new meds with your team.Maz x

Hi Maz, Thanks for that. I'll have to see my gp as I always have some in a case I have an attack. Haven't had one for years , and the cause was never found, but it's very unpleasant isn't it. Especially when the huge welts come up round your mouth.

I get urticaria every few months as a side effect of my meds. I usually just buy an over the counter anti histamine so thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to double check before I do so in the future.
