Grateful bypasser
I've just started out on the path of investigating different routes to getting my reconstructive surgery done. (I need a tummy tuck and my boobs lifting. If I won the lottery I would have my arms, things and face lifted too, but I live in the real world )
I think the chances of NHS surgery are slim to non-existant, even though I have lost 12 stones and my BMI is 25 now, with the hope that I can get it under 25 in the very near future.
I've contacted quite a few private surgeons, both here and abroad with an initial query.
Some have asked me to make consultation appointments, some have simply asked when I want the op doing and to email them a photo of my body.
One of the clinics I contacted was Cosmetic Bliss. I recieved a really helpful email from them, advising that their surgeon recommends that I allow my weight and body shape to settle for up to two years before having surgery in order to get the best results.
I have no affiliation with any organisation, but found it refreshingly honest, in a competitive world, that they would respond in this way.
Just something to think about for now
