Countdown begins ....

Well my preparation for hospital has begun...

Cleaning house from top to bottom, bag half packed, food shopping ordered & being delivered tomorrow. I'm popping out later to get my toiletry bag etc & then off to support group.

Tomorrow after I put shopping away I'm going to have bath & wash my hair. Then get bus or taxi down to hospital for 3pm.

Eeeehhhhh!! I'm so excited, worried, nervous .........

Yes, I'm at the support group tonight but don't know how long I'll be staying.

I'm starting my preparations today 'cos I go in tomorrow at 3pm then have my op on Saturday, hopefully home Sunday.

How long were you in?

I remember you had really bad time! Its was terrible. But I'm still hopeful of being home on Sunday.

Excellent! see you soon honey. Sorry, but I think home on Sunday is very unlikley. The fastest I saw anyone go was 2 days after op. They like you to drink a litre of water the first day and have some sloppy food the second.

I thought it was too soon but that is what Mr Schroeders secretary said. "In Friday, Operation Saturday & home Sunday after the dietician has seen you", those were her exact words.

Ha, ha!! I got few pairs of new pj's when I was put on the list in May but ended up wearing them so bought more new ones last week.

A girl can never have too many pairs
