is anyone else addicted?... my shopping has just been delivered ( late might i add grrr) and i feel calmer as ive now some in the house haha i do use it as a food subistute, and i have now switched to the gold can the caffeine free one.... its almost like a smoker with a ciggie..... soon as i take that first mouthful i feel arghhhhh..... xx

I was mega addicted to diet coke. I'm embarrassed to admit that I had to buy cans to stop me drinking 2 litre bottles in one hit.

I used to limit myself to 6 cans a day.

For the first few days of my pre-op I really needed it, then I graduadually reduced the amount I was having. Not because I tried but because I didn't fancy it.

The last 4 days of my pre-op I didn't touch a drop.

Obviously I haven't had any since my bypass and I can honestly say I don't miss it at all.

I used to get really panicky if I ran out and would yell at my other half if he drank the last can (think he only did it once!)

Yippeeeeeeeeeee I'm no longer addicted to diet coke!

haha o dero! i have limited myself to 2 / 3 cans, but i have the caffeine free one, so it must justbe the fizz etc im addicted to?.. im not sure, also it makes me feel like im having a treat to when i have it x

Unfortunately Kelly we are told not to have fizzy drinks after WLS, I should think all that gas wont do us any good.

I was just saying to my daughter yesterday, that one thing I really missed was having a lovely pint of cider and swigging it all down.

Hi Kell,

I'm always thirsty with being diabetic and can drink gallons of water... but I also really love Fanta Zero.... I am always having an odd glass and will really really miss that....

Will have to bite the bullet one day and stop ordering it....

Love and hugs xxx

i know bev, but ill stop ordering it once ive had the op... im giving everything else up ha..... oooooo mary have you tried the flavoured ones?... mmm blueberry, raspberry, etc ice cold with ice god what id do for one now xx

ive never been a coke fan, and im not really into fizzy drinks full stop, but like bev i like fanta, and i also liked lilt, but i had to wait till it was nearly flat before i could drink it, for some reason, fizzy drinks actually hurt my throat as they go down.

I LOVE pepsi max. I drank it right up to the day before surgery and have to say i really miss it. Cordial for me just isnt the same. I just doesnt quwench the thirst in my throat.
Im in two minds whether to try it or not when i am fully healed, we'll see....
