East anglia criteria

I all I have a quick question, does anyone have any idea what the criteria is for wls in east anglia for a friend of mine, she believes that they only do 17 gastric bypasses a year so they are saved for diabetics, I a confused by this as east anglia is a huge place and there are other co-morbidities that would help you qualify surely, any info would be gratefully accepted so I can pass it on, thanking you in anticipation xxx

Give your PCT a call and ask to speak to someone dealing with Bariatrics and they'll be able to tell you

Depends where in East Anglia she is - as we spread over several counties Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or Essex - as all have differing PCT guidelines...
