had my op saturday, and today i can't seem to stop crying. is this normal?

Hi Paula, my band op was Friday and I had a really ready day on Tuesday. No apparent reason it I felt out of sorts and a bit on my own with it all. Feel fine now. I think it might just be reaction to what we've been through, the journey is a very emotional one as well as physical and we can underestimate how it affects us. Hope you are feeling brighter. Yes I think it is totally normal to feel emotional, think of all you have been through to get to this point and then its the fear of the unknown and a new journey.

Be kind to yourself and tomorrow is another day my lovely.

It's 100% normal. I cried my little heart out for a couple of days after my op. I think it's just a mixture of pent up emotion that we've been carrying to see us through our surgery. The whole stress of going through years to fighting to get our ops, going through all the health checks, having to say goodbye to family and friends etc.. Also our bodies have gone through a big trauma and it will take a while for us to recover. So cry and let everything come out and as you recover you will get your happiness back again *Hugs*

Yes very normal as everyone says. Your hormones are all over the place because of the surgery, the anaesthetic and the huge emotional strain getting here has taken. Let yourself feel the emotions and cry it all out. You will feel up and down over the first few weeks so don't worry, we all go through it to some extent x
