hi, just wondering if anyone can tell me what happens with employment support allowance when you go into hospital for your operation??? does it get stopped?

I don't think so, but it think you have to inform them of your admission and discharge date. You also have to send them a copy of your admission letter.

ahh good, already done that as doctor said she would only date sick note up to op date. thank u x

I'm not sure, but having surgery may even increase your payments

Keep sending in your sick notes it's doubtful payments would increase, if you are on the base rate it would only increase after you had had a medical and been placed into the WRAG group (work related activity group)

your money increases when your not in the WRAG group also
