Endoscopy

I was just wondering, does everyone go through an endoscopy, or just certain people? I only ask as i've not had it mentioned to me at all.

Well a young girl I know didn't have to have 1 and she had a sleeve so i am not sure if its just bypass patients. x

I am having a gastric wrap (plication) done in february and they do a gastroscopy the day before surgery to check all is ok to proceed.
My friend had a sleeve done and she too had gastroscopy day before surgery

It may just depend on your surgeon then, its a question to ask at your appointment. x

I had one last week im due to have a sleeve, think it depends on your surgical team. x

I've not had one and have not been told that i'm going to either. I also wondered the same thing

I am 3weeks post op,had a gastric bypass I didn't have endoscopy,I had my op at Chelsea and Westminster.
