For the first time since my op i've felt i've needed food today.....more specifically 'nice food' i've just made up some angel delight and ate half straight down! i feel terrible :( like i've totally let myself down for doing something that i really shouldn't :sigh:

ah well, none of us are perfect, you just ate like someone normal, dont beat yourself up, just get back to normal tomorrow :) you'll be fine Angee :) xxx

You ate half right? I'm assuming before the op you would have eaten the lot plus something else. I think you are showing that your wls is making you learn which is what it's meant to do. This didn't make you feel good and you realised that so it's a win not a fail. Don't beat yourself up. If you do your at risk for doing it again. Instead use it as motivation. You are doing fantastic :) x

The risk of thinking of it as a fail is that you will throw in the towel and start binging. Don't think of it as anything but a little bit of human failing; a treat that you didn't even enjoy that much. Next time you want angel delight, make one up, put a half or a quarter in a small dish, and eat it slowly, enjoying each mouthful to the full. Factor it in your food for the day, don't wolf it down guiltily barely even tasting it. You'll be fine :)

Ruthie I agree. If we start thinking we have failed, we are starting those negative thoughts and creating/sustaining a negative eating cycle.

Angee, move on. It was a moment in time, and it has passed. Anything you have, plan in, enjoy and look forward to your end goal :)

I can't add anything else as everyone else has put it so well. Part of the change we're all going through is changing our mindset and that means not beating ourselves up. So you ate some Angel Delight, put it behind you and move on. You'll be fine.

Don't feel bad for having angel delight that's a great treat for something sweet!

tesco do a range of no added sugar (angel delight) there's a few different flavours i have strawberry one with sugar free strawberry jelly underneath it's a lovely treat and i divide it into three glass dishes so it looks nice too :) i also have orange sugar free jelly with some mandarins in juice in it , i use the juice from the can instead of cold water and it tastes nice and flavoursome xx
