so tonight has been entertaining... ended up fainting in the kitchen. luckily my mate catched me and eased my fall to the ground. now i never faint so abit worried. any ideas if its due to my sleeve? xx

I doubt it, maybe not enough food, or should i say "the right food"? lol make sure you drink plenty of water :) xxx

I agree with caren that it could be lack of nourishment.. check the amount of calories you are getting daily and carbohydrates and protein amounts.. could be you really are not eating enough xx

I had this a few times, but mainly at the gym, nurse said it was down low blood pressure and low blood sugar

Poor you, how frightening x

My daughters had this after losing 2.5st at 14yrs old. She eats better now but we are convinced its blood sugar related. Had an ECG which came back fine and get blood results next week. Blood pressure always spot on however. Weird thing is we can never pinpoint it. I had same as a teenager and thru adult life where maybe once every 3 or 4 mths I'd faint. Mine was too much sugar in some foods. Since band I've been cured tho!

I had this about 3/4 months after my bypass, I was always at work which made it a tad embarrassing. How like g since your sleeve? Mine was combination of I think rapid loss , not being able to eat / drink enough whilst on shift. I was also severely low on Vit D. It always passed quickly of I had a drink and bit if toast, my colleagues said it was because j didn't enough cake anymore!

yehh i think its not eating enough and enough of the good things. visiting family so wasnt in my normal routine. had some orange juice and chocolate which made me feel better. will still get checked out but im going to keep on top of eating/drinking and hopefully wont happen again. just scary when its not happend before xx

....... Never quite fainted, but felt I was going to several times, usually on getting up or even sitting upright! Situation improved after I got my BP meds reviewed & reduced - and now I don't need to take them at all.
If you are on BP meds - I'd get them checked out first.

I've had exactly the same for months now. I was Still on week 3 as far as food goes until this week really and I am nearly 4 months down the road. The fainting happens a lot to me. I fainted walking down the stairs and fell on to a ceiling fan which I had turned on. Ouch wasn't in it! It seems to be if you don't get enough fluids so top up the fluids.
