Fed Up

Peterborough Guy

Luton and Dunstable
Hello all,

Just wondered if this was normal or if its a stage im going through, but the last couple of days, I just don't want to eat.

I make myself eat but whatever I eat I don't enjoy it and would rather not bothering.

Don't get me wrong life is good and I don't want to change anything, BUT I have no interest in food.

Is this normal?

Its normal for me.
I hardly ever eat and have to force myself to do so.
Have no interest whatsoever in food or tea or coffee.
I make myself eat to stay healthy like you do.
No complaints here though. I am happy to have a complete disregard for food.
I dont obsess about it anymore and I feel free from an addiction that has plagued me all my life from being about 7 when I had my tonsils out.
I do get hungry but when I do, it is a nusiance and I wish I didn't have to bother eating ever again.
Hope that helps gorgeous.
Just got back from a weeks jollies in beautiful Derbyshire, walking up hill and down dale, something I have missed doing the last couple of years since I put all the extra weight on.

Hope you had a great holiday, I have a weekend away in a couple of weeks, with the wife and the girls, so will be great to do some walking at the seaside etc.

'Gorgeous' have you not been to spec savers yet lol

You don't need specs to look at somebody's heart!

yep, I go through that quite often - really have to force myself to eat, but when i dont eat I dont lose weight, so I am learning that I really do need to force myself.

I am trying out diff types of cooking to vary my tastes - at the minute I am cooking Korean food quite a lot - its delish - so i look forward to it

Hi, my hubby going through the same thing no interest in any foods, they have been making him feel sickly. All the foods he used to enjoy he doesnt like now, also gone off tea and coffee as well.I posted the other day about it as he wanted to know if it was normal as well lol, he has also been a bit depressed about having the op done etc , but then he says he is grateful as the weight is coming off and staying off which is a first for him as it always came straight back on plus some more. So l think its normal x

ok i know i am only a few weeks post op but i have read allot of posts and i have come across this same problem over and over again...so yes i would say its normal...hope you get back to normal soon xx

Hi kevin
i never went off of food when i had the band...but everyone is different lol

cor wish I could go off food lol

Hi Shannon . . . strangely I have never really liked fish (unless it was in batter with chips or by way of a fish-finger sandwich) and always would favour a big Sunday lunch. On Sunday we went for a day out (a classic car rally) which finished at a nice hotel with Sunday Lunch ~ a carvery, once upon a time I would have been in my element but this time I had Plaice Goujons and cauliflower . . . I had maybe 4 goujons and a couple of spoonfuls of the cauliflower ~ looking at other diving in to the Sunday roast did not cause me any problems . . . how things change xx

(Sorry for the hijack Mr, PG)

oh kevin how things change! i now want fish and chips, and a big sunday lunch, THANKS lol
