feeling ill takin tablets after a bypass

hey everyone just a quick question when your feeling ill what does everyone take as pain relief i take those meltets (lemon) which are vile has onyone taken normal paracetomol after having a bypass if so has it been fine or have u had problems

Hi Brad,

If you had your op on the 9th March, I would have thought that you can now take all medication, including paracetamol in tablet/caplet/capsule form. If you have been told otherwise, speak to your GP for your own peace of mind. I hope you feel better soon.

Co codomol,paracetamol,codeine should all be ok.

When i had problems with my Gall Bladder I was able to take CoCodamol xx

yes, as above, you will be fine with tablets now at 2+ months post surgery.

You do need to avoid anything with ibuprofen due to risk of ulcer, but paracetamol, cocodamol are both fine.

if you are worried about taking tabs you could take soluble paracetamol.. leaving them to go flat before you drink it if the fizz is a prob.... but at this stage tabs should be fine..
