First Appointment

Hi all, after 2 weeks of waiting (which felt like 2 months lol) I received a phone call this morning from Spire Southampton to attend a 3 hour appointment on 2nd April when I will hopefully be told I can get surgery. I hope I will as tier 3 recommended surgery and I have hypertention and sleep apneoa and I use a cpap machine for it.

What sort of questions do you get asked and what should I ask? as a bit nervous about saying the wrong thing. Any feedback would be great.

Hello

I was asked what I had already tried. What research around surgery I had done. How did I think I would cope with the life long changes required - ie can't drink with meals, dumping, change of status of food etc. Asked about what family thought. I was asked what operation I thought I wanted and why. I was also asked at length about reflux, alcohol and if I smoked. Much of the appointment was them providing information.
