first fill

hi - my first fill is on Tuesday and I cant find the notes which tells me what to do. Am I supposed to not eat anything for a few hours before hand??

No such request before my first fill on Friday. I had a coffee just before mine and no bad effects. Personally I wouldn't eat too much because they do need to press on your tummy quite hard to find the port.

I just had my first fill last week. Was told no food for 4 hours before And no fluids for an hour before. Good luck x

Isn't it weird. Yet again completely different advice. I had to have a hot drink and a cold one before I was allowed to leave the clinic!!! I think as everyone says you have to do what your provider advises, then if things go wrong you can hand on heart say you have followed their rules.

depends on provider, with mine it is nothing at all for a full 3 hours before
