I hope your appointment goes well. Where is it? X

Full blood count and fasting bloods on 2 days found I'm diabetic and a sleep apnier test just go to local docs for blood tests

Hi, Ive also got to go to the seminar on 24th July, Im not really sure what to expect, ive had a letter from my GP asking to go and have my bloods done prior to this appointment.

Hi

I had my bloods done a few days before my referral so I'm presuming that means I don't have to have them done again? But that's a guess??
What operation are you going for tintin?

Proberbly, my Dr referred me and a couple of day later sent me a letter sayin I needed to have my bloods done to check for diabetes and a few other things. Not totally sure which procedure Im getting but I think I would like to have a sleeve. I know someone who has had a sleeve at Sunderland last september and has lost 7 stone and says it was the best thing they ever did, the only negative was a long wait but I understand that the wait is not so long at North Tees.

I don't really know much about the sleeve only studied band and bypass. I hope the wait is not too long I'm ready for it now! Sounds like ill be ok blood wise then. Good luck on the 24th

I originally wanted a band, but from the information I have been given it seems people are moving away from the band as the other methods give better results. I am a bit worried about the seminar, my husband is against weight loss surgery and thinks I shoud be able to loose weight without it, Im just hoping he will come with me and be supportive. I feel that he doesnt understand how hard it is and I wouldnt be doing this if there was another way.

My husband was the same, he sees me as a strong confidant woman who can do anything it took me to break down and beg him to support me for him to stand behind me, he is probably just worried about the risks. Stay firm he will probably step up when he realises how much it means to you.

My husband is being supportive but I think he secretly wishes I'm not doing it for a number of reasons but at the end of the day it's our bodies and our feelings and health that matter in this situation. Good luck x

Hi :)
I have to disagree with this,I had a band and I've lost just the same if not more than a bypass patient,it all depends on the individual xx

You have done really well Tracyt84 your weigh loss is fantastic I only hope I can do as well as you. It's very difficult to know what to do for the best in the beginning I am hoping that when I go for my appointments I will be guided to what is the best method for me
