Hi Hun I'm 6 months post op now I was being sick alot at the start and even now carnt eat certain foods.... Wen I was being sick alot I got advised to go bk to basics bk to fluids then puree then soft for a few days on each and then wen I went to real foods I had to cut my food up even smaller and chew chew chew and chew some more xxx

Hi Kathleen - :welcome2:to the site hun x

Laura is right, start by eating a tiny piece of food at a time, and make sure it is well chewed. Your band has a very small entrance to put food in, so treat it gently and it will reward you by not making you sick.

Have a good look under the green banner above, there are drop down headings which are informative and helpful.

If you need any help or advice on here just shout and someone will soon be along to help....great place also to make new friends and also some groups that meet up each month and get to know each other!

Take care hun x

Love Kat x

Welcome and well done so far. It is tough at first and some foods may never be tolerated by your re-plumbed pipework but it will get better in time. Again well done so far you're doing great and the people here are mostly lovely so any help you need just shout. Shout loud though some of them are old and a little deaf LOL :D

Hello .... little tip ... keep a note book with you (or app on your phone) write down what foods work for you and what doesn't , i kept losing track of what i could/couldnt eat, so i just jot it all down with the date , this way you can see if your new tummy is just plain stubborn, or if it improves with time... for example ... i no longer enjoy tea ! i keep trying it and i really dont enjoy it , i used to drink gallons ! also i can now eat soya foods, where before it turned my stomach ... its such a learning curve ...everyday i learn something new. what a blessing this surgery is !xx
