I have come to the conclusion I can't eat fish, I have tried it a good few times now and as always it has got stuck good a proper, I chew it till it is none existent, take it slowly, but no such luck, tonight is definately the worst it has been and I could cry with the pain, really don't know what to do with myself c

I used to get food pain in the early days with stew and chicken. Maybe try again in a few weeks time. Or make it so that it isnt as dry it may help it to go down better.

Good luck

I cant eat certain types of fish - the type that when you chew and chew it turns into a ball (like cod, haddock, tuna etc). Salmon is ok but I have to have it in a sauce but the best fish is sole. This is ok as it is more moist and flaky but the flakes are very small. Lovely with a little lemon and parsley sauce or even a bit of white or cheese sauce. I love fish so was relieved to find some I actually could eat!

I LOVE fish. My favourite is a lush piece of lemon sole with beef gravy (thick!) nom nom nom! :D xxxxx

Lemon Sole and Beef gravy - now that is a new one on me!! Will have to try it - can I have a little Yorkshire pud too? Love it Emma x

My dietician told me there's usually something we bypassers just can't tolerate. For me it seems to be bread and eggs. But chicken is also getting a bit dodgy. :(
The pain should ease in about an hour. I had to take Tramadol the other night and lie down, all curled up in a ball with a hot water bottle.
I do hope it eases for you soon pet.

But with lemon sole?:eek::eek::eek: I just can't imagine that! Are you serious?:p

I am Doncaster bred - school in North Yorkshire . . and I love (sorry think that was lovED!) chips and gravy! Never ever had fish with gravy tho . . but may try it just as an experiment. I like it with fresh parsley sauce and a new potato or two.

I loved chips and gravy too, anything with gravy really. I LOVE gravy!! :D xxxxxxx

Hi, as someone else said there are things you won't tolerate at first... Fish was the same for me, in fact even now sometimes i swear i can feel my pouch tightening at the thought of it. You are still very early days and i'd suggest leaving it a few weeks and then try a bit of fish pie and see how that goes. Otherwise leave it a bit longer... It really is trial and error with some foods...

Good luck xx

ps, fish and beef gravy :(
