Fish

Hi everyone, I don't know how many times I've eaten fish ... loads in fact since the op and mainly because it has suited me and gone down well.

However, tonight I had fish and shortly after one of the worse experiences ever. I could feel it stick and then began what I think Dotty describes as 'rabid dogs' phew it seemed to last for ages. Better now though and wondering what on earth could have happened.

Oh my, I know that feeling well lol.....its horrible! There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason why things seem ok one day and not the next. Every time its happened with me its been things Ive had loads of times before, makes it even scarier really because you never know what will cause it! I think sometimes it may be because Ive eaten too fast, or maybe the pieces were a little bigger....who knows but you will probably be ok with it next time you have it.....Hope you feel ok now hun (HUN) XX

I am not that good with certain type of fish - ok with sole or plaice but 'meaty' fish like haddock and cod gives me the rabids . . . however much cheese sauce or similar to make it soggy it just wont go down.

ps made me very nervous about eating while I was on holiday!!

Oh my word, I know that feeling only too well.
I had steak when out on my work xmas meal, 2 bites in and I knew I was in trouble.
Had to come home rather sharpish!
Hope you're feeling ok now x

Nearly every time its happened to me has been when Ive been out  Its so embarrassing....at least 2 of the times I was at a friends house so that wasnt too bad! XX

I find fish really filling and sometimes causes discomfort, and it's not cos i'm eating too much of it because i make sure not to have a big bypasser portion... I might try plaice as someone says it's not so meaty. I used to like fish quite a bit. Might see how some scallops go down but they're a bit on the pricey side....

As for steak, i always have mine med-well done and it goes down just fine. I always make sure i don't have a big piece, i usually cut a bit off Trev's tbh no way i could eat a whole one.... xx

I was very poorly with breaded scampi. It could be the breadcumbs even though you took off what you could see?
Or maybe it was a bit dry?
Or maybe there's just no reason!
It's a pain whatever!
