Fizzy drinks - confused

Are you allowed nas fizzy pop during the pre pre op or pre op?

Yeah 4 pints of ss milk 1 oxo cube and a nas jelly and at least 2 liters water I used to ave bout 3 cups of tea in the morning big mug of milky coffee mid morning I used to ave my oxo and bowl of jelly at night for tea it just made it like I was eatin something nice diner then pudding lol good luck on ur weight loss journey wat r u havin done I had a sleeve 6 weeks ago just gettin ready to go on to proper food eek scary xx feel free to ask me anything take care xxx

I was told we weren't allowed fizzy drinks post op as they adversely affect our pouch. To be truthful, I had enough problems with wind post op so fizzy drinks would have made it worse.

Yes sweets you can have sugar free fizzy pop. It's perfect to have pre op as the gas fills you up. But as rebirth says post op is a no no for bypassers as there can be health implications....

Make the most of it while you can x

I understand the pre - op is more about low fat intake ergo fizzy drinks are OK (NAS) though I am told there are concerns about aspartame ! ! ! next they will be saying curry and beer is bad for you x

maybe its an idea to try and cut down your fizzy pop before surgery if you love it as much as i do, as it might be a shock for you afterwards.
