Hi Floella

Am new on this site, and have only done a couple of posts so far, but even finding this place has been a joy, at last i have found some wonderful,supportive people on this site, i saw the comment you posted after my question and i feel a little hurt, i have seen some previous posts of yours and they seem a little negative. i think we are all in the same boat here and it`s the kindness that keeps us going when we get low. In future maybe it`s best you keep those sortof comments to yourself.

Floella has a bit of a history on here, and has offended many of the regulars. She has had it pointed out that as she isn't a WLS patient etc that she really has no place posting on here but she seems selective in what she listens to

I personally find it best to just ignore her completely you know what these people are like, they thrive on reaction, so don't give them one and they eventually give up and go away

If you find any of her posts offensive then use the report facility and let the mods take care of her. It won't be the first time.

Hey hun don't let one persons negative opinions put you off. Glad you felt able to tell her how you felt but as shel has said sometimes it's not even worth replying. Just remeber that most of us who use this site are here to give and receive support and i hope you feel able to write how you feel without being criticised or put down. I've met some wonderful people on here and i hope you do too. x

I also have been on the receiving end of this lady, who made me feel so small for being prescribed xenical for quite a long time & I couldn't get back online for quite some time after her comments, it seems she came here as her sister was contemplating wls & was given lots of advice etc but she seems to repeatedly upset people whether she knowingly or deliberately does this I don't know, so you aren't the only one hun, try not take what she says to heart as she sounds like a very hard hearted person.

I've read all of Floella's posts, and while they seem to be rather 'in your face', i'm just wondering if it's appropriate to be publically talking about her so negatively like this?
Would it not be better to send her a private message, rather than publically talking about her?

I'm not sure what the rules are on this, but i know i wouldn't like it if people were talking about me like this rather than sending me a private message.

But surely Wobbles you woldn't have been so unkind to have upset people in the first place. Maybe she does need to see a thread like this to see how she upsets people and how her negative comments are not welcome when we are all facing such difficult and hard times in our lives. Floella is more than welcome to add her comments to this thread aswell so she can have her say to everyone who has spoken about her. We aren't hiding our words or talking behind her back, this is free for all to see including her.

I quite agree cowgirl. It seems Floella has the right to say what she wants, with no regards to other people`s feelings,maybe it`s time she heard a few negatives about herself and see how she likes it for a change.

Nice to meet you! Youre having an op around the same time? Yey! Youre the first person I've met that doing it the same time as me!

You can send private messages on here but you have to send a certain amount of posts before you get the right to.

Once you have posted 50 posts you can look at peoples profiles and private message friends etc. Your profile says youve done 13 so far so keep typing and then you will be able to do it!xxx

I'm a little scared but more anxious than scared! Im very excited about the whole thing and also a little frustrated that I have to wait another 6 weeks!

Great to read your texts, i loved what you said about investing in our own futures, your so right !!! you hit the nail bang on the head.Am having my op at chelsea and westminster in Fulham London. Saw my surgeon and i guess as he had too, told me worst case senarios of the bypass, which were pretty damn scary, but hey ho, onwards and upwards and the thought of my soon to be perky butt in a rather fabulous pair of religion jeans, stops me getting to morbid . How shallow am i ???
I live in London with two kids of 1 and 3 and been married to a french restauranter for 10 years in October (Bang goes the big fat anniversary dinner) i was a teen bride, errrrr sort of well , now well i`m 36, but hey who`s counting. i work in our pub, which doesnt help with the weight thing by any means, our pies are the best in london !!! but seriously i want to be healthy, i dont want people judging me by my size, i want to be happy in a bikini and want to be there for my kids,swimming ,playing etc...but most of all for me, i want to be in control again. i did Lighter Life lost 5 stone and on my last weigh in found out i was pregnant again and put it all back on and more.i now know WLS is the only way for me, so here goes girl, let`s give it a whirl...
