fluid and food

I think it's cause it pushes food threw before ur body obsorbs the nutrients n also makes u hungry faster hth x

You wont have much room in your little tum for food if its full of fluid,it washes food through too quick so not getting goodness from food.I find its better to drink well before food and then when you eat leave it a while before you drink.That way the nutrients are absorbed.We only take on about 50% of nutrients and calories.This is why its important not to flush them through too quick and high dosage vitamins are required.
 
This is the bander section not bypass so we absorb everything. The reason why they don't recommend drinking while eating because it can get food stuck.
 
Yep, as Mis says it can make food in the pouch swell but it can also make others foods pass through the band too quickly.
 
I know this is completely the wrong thing to do but when I've had food stuck before it was my first instinct to reach for a sip of water to try to wash it through.... Trust me, this makes it 10 times worse because your little pouch is already blocked so putting fluids in it only makes it more full... I have done this twice hoping that it would wash the food through but both times it has just made me sick! That'll teach me!! Lol xx

Hi i'll need to remember that as i get my band on monday. think it would be automatic to want to flush it out so thank you for this post Hx
 
I find going for a little walk helps me or just play the waiting game, mind you thinking about it now its not happened for a long long time now, just get used to knowing what I can & cannot eat and what sits well with me . xx
