Flying after surgery

Does by one know how long after surgery do you have to wait to fly please

NHS guidelines state 30 days after a general, but some people have their ops abroad and fly home!

I was told 6 weeks by my provider, (I has a bypass) but as above people go abroad and fly home all the time. Think it depends on distance really.

It will be to my mother in laws in Spain... I don't care about food or drink just enjoying laying by the pool and relaxing xx

I flew back from Belgium 3 days after my mini gastric bypass ( 1 hour flight) and was fine. Just make sure you wear your stocking! And check your insurance provider I guess. Make sure your moving enough before and after to avoid DVT etc. have a lovely time! Sunshine and pool sound fab!

I haven't even been told I've got funding.. Should hopefully find out tomorrow... And should have an idea how long the wait it... It's all just excitement and anticipation x
