Flying post op

Hi all

I'm 6 days post op and would like to fly out to Spain from London in the next couple of weeks to recover in the sun. I've looked on the BA website and they say 10 day minimum for abdominal surgery which is ok with me but I just called my specialist and they said 6 weeks! Has anyone flown 3 weeks after surgery? A short flight? Were you ok?

Hi I flew 4 weeks to benidorm got ok of doctors in hospital flight was fine no probs I had bypass did have to take out extra insurance as was not covered by ordinary insurance but fine and no probs Deb

I had to let travel insurance know but it didn't make a lot if difference to my quote

Thanks Tracey! I got cleared from my GP yesterday for flying to Spain so I'm off to Majorca on Thursday to recover in the sunshine! X
