funny old week so far my brains trying to remember what chocolate and cheese and onion crisps taste like but ...............it does'nt crave those things like before

anyways thats the best way i can put it

i'm looking forward to the journey now ;)

Can't wait for my brain to switch off wanting all my favourite (and bad) foods too :)

Hope you are recovering nicely after your op. Take care :D

And the good news is, its like that for a long time, i have started to get cravings for a few things, but the benefit is, post op we are much stronger now, so we dont give in to the cravings.

Brilliant, Jonathan ... Can't wait until all the baddie foods have no appeal for me either. :):) x

Ditto!!!

Its called control now!We know when to stop or suffer the consequences! The tastes come back and so will your appetite but its satisfied far easier.Maz x

im with you maz on this one, its true we are still the same people with our likes and dislikes but now we know what good choices we have to make or , we will be back to where we were; not good ,,, glad you are feeling better joffy and looking forward, take care xxxxxxxx

I've been thinking the same recently - been on my pre-op diet for almost 4 weeks and although at the beginning I had a few "slips", the last couple of weeks have been great. In fact, I'm finding it hard to eat all the food I'm meant to (on the low fat/low carb one). Have all but finished my eating for the day with just dinner to go and tracking my cals on MyFitnessPal I've eaten the grand total of 600 calories today. That's literally a quarter of what I used to eat, but I don't feel like I'm missing out or hungry or anything.

Isn't it strange how easily we seem to adapt when we make a real conscious decision to take control?
