French Pain! Or Fifty Shades of Disarray!

On hols down here in France & suffering from eating a little too quickly tonight.
It occurred to me just how many tempting things are awaiting me in the village but all have a common theme - PAIN
Pain de compagne
Pain au chocolat
Pain Perdue
Pain aux raisons
Pain de sucre
Etc
Now I honestly assure you all I have not had any of these naughty items & will try my best to avoid as I know they will lead me to excruciating pain!!
A tout a l'heure ma petite crepe suzettes x

oui uoi d'accord!! i think thats right i last took french in 1988 lol :)

Yes & they eat copious amounts of butter, smelly cheese & red meat washed down with wine but none of them are fat??? The French Paradox!

are thes foods off-limit because of the surgery, or because you know they will slow down your weight loss? I thought with the sleeve nothing was off limits, it just had to be in much smaller amounts?

Many of us find that post op there are foods we don't tolerate. This is individual to each of us for example i could probably eat those things without pain. Doesn't mean that I would choose to though. Others will get physical pain - bread pastry and meats are quite common intolerances. And some will dump irrespective of whether they are bypass or sleeve.

That's probably the food I'm going to miss the most.....smelly French cheese

its not a paradox .... french people are too sophisticated to be fat. they are just to cool lol xx

I can't tolerate those things but can tolerate a nice soft smelly goats cheese. Had tiny 1/2 a fresh lobster last night & chewed&chewed but the pain was bad.
Also I'm in a bit of a stall so don't want to jepodise weight loss. Did plenty of exercise playing table tennis & swing ball. First time for 30 years LOL you should have seen me running around. My little nephew was in fits of laughter. We had great fun.
