ive just weighed myself & apparently ive put 3lb on since saturday.

ive been so good too :cry::cry:

they did tell me not to keep weighing myself & worry about weight loss in the first 6 weeks, but still.

all ive had this week is soup & sugar free cordial or water.
all the soups are home made with vegs, no salt, 1 of the soups had cheese in. but apart from that its all fruit & veg. i had a piece of salmon one day too, with carrots & green beans all blended down.

i dont get how ive put 3lb on with what im eating.

i hate scales
 
Hi Emma,
It sounds crazy, but you should really be eating more than you seem to be in order to lose. Your body sounds like it has gone into "starvation mode" and is hanging onto the weight. You need to eat to fire the furnaces that burn the fat.

5 fruit & veg
5 protein

im deffo having my fruit & veg, and my protein as ive just been topping it up with milk if needed.
im struggling to get my carbs in though, i have had weetabix which is a sludgy carb but ive not managed others really..oh apart from butternut squash!
see, im actually having more carbs than i realised.

i think i might ring the dietitian up and bother them
 
i to think its best if you ring your team, remember they did say to wait 6 weeks you 'll still be swollen and sore hunni best of luck x
 
just spoke to them.

she told me to chuck my scales away too. im to weigh myself once a week at the very most and at the same time.
i told her my diet for the past few days, she told me i should be drinking more water than i actually am...and that i should make sure i deffo have the 5/5/4 & not go without. (not that i felt i was)
she said that even if the scales said that, she doesnt believe its correct & my over all weight loss for the 3 weeks is what theyd expect so she has no issues.

i do feel a bit better, but im still kinda annoyed.

I HATE scales! Got weighed today and supposedly have gained. Not much but on the milk diet? Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! :eek:


So yeah, I agree, throw the scales out. Weight fluctuates with fluid, TOTM, time of the day.........so much else!

It's tough to stay off them though if you have them.

I stick to once a week at Boots.

and well done on what you've achieved so far. Maybe the tape measure is a better friend? :)
 
Hi Alex,

You are doing so well - hide the scales. You will be slowly building up your glycogen stores in your liver which were depleted for liver shrinkage only once you start introducing carbs do you start doing this. You have lost 25lbs which is fantastic. x
 
Hi Emma, I have been meaning to get in touch and see how things are, I was out when your thread started yesterday, at the Salford meeting.

I can't tell you how scales we have had in our house and every one is different.

Best to make a trip and get a pampering treat and a weigh in at Boots... most reliable out of them all.

I am monitoring my weight on my Wii machine, that seems to be very accurate too...

Don't worry about it Em., your body's had a big shock and everything must settle down...
