I had my bypass a week ago, I have had confirmed gallstone for over a year and three flair ups during that time. The first ended up in an obstruction,jaundice and a two week stay in hospital. Today I have had those niggly little pains in the lower right ribs and aches in my back. I hope I'm just being paranoid but anyone who knows how gallstones feel will understand why I'm scared. I was not offered to have my gallbladder removed during surgery. I didn't realise it was an option until after. Can anyone recommend away to prevent gallstones? I have heard of a natural remedy of olive oil and lemon juice but I don't think that will be safe at present.
