gallstones

hi does anybody know if i will have to have my gallbladder taken out before they do weight loss surgery as i have gallstones and over the past few days have been realy ill n in pain with it now im worried with whats gonna happen x

Hi Janebell
I have had gallstones for 15 years and they would flare up ever year or so. A couple of times I had one stuck in a duct and had jaundice and became quite ill for a few weeks. Thankfully both times the gallstone moved itself and the symptoms subsided.
I had my sleeve op last week and because of my history they also took my gallbladder out at the same time.

I hope you are soon feeling much better - you have my full sympathy. The pain can be horrendous.
