Is smoking okay with gastric band?

I thought you had to give up smoking 6 weeks before the op due to anaesthetic risks? If you've given up for that long why on earth would you want to start again?!

i was never told to quit nor was alot of other people on here

Some hospitals will not go ahead with an operation if you are still smoking. They can test for it.

Go with your hospitals advice..they know best.

I am not a heavy smoker, i only smoke Shisha once a week

that's why i was asking.

lol no i dont think it is what u think it is. its perfectly legal and doesnt have tar and nicotine in it just tobacco.
