hi im flying out to prague on 10th sept and all being well have op on the 11th im soooo nervous.xx

op all went well when i got back id lost 10lb i couldnt believe it oh and changed stones.xxx

Thankyou for all the well wishes i feel better already.a gastric wrap is like the gastric sleeve but i dont have my stomach removed its wrapped on itself and a mesh put around it .that if in a few years i wanted it reversed i could do so.

wow, sounds ever so technical, its not something we tend to hear about is it, where did you find out about it, and what does it entail, is it like a bypass, do you have the same restrictions that we have, with things like, sugar, fat etc, will you get dumping syndrome. sorry to be nosey, but it just sounds so interesting. hope it all goes well, and your recovery is quick and uneventful. hugs x

I usually say, anything you want to know, just ask! But in your case, it sounds like you will be the one educating us, because I too have never heard of a gastric wrap!

It sounds like a sandwich! LOL.

Your op sounds very interesting and a little bit confusing... Why on earth would someone want wls reversing? I'd be worried about gaining again....

aww thankyou to all of you i feel so much happier since joining here last night...ive got it in my head that im not going to come round or something...ive never had an op b4....im going to prague as its a lot cheaper than here and my mum will be coming with me, so i wont be going alone.my mum had weight loss surgery in january here and has done really well she had a gastric sleeve.the gastric wrap is a new procedure i dont think id want it reversing but its also nice to know that IF for any reason i wanted it reversing in the futrue the mesh that incases the stomach can be removed.but obviously that is not something im planning on having done.
i found out about the procedure when i enquired about having the sleeve and this is an equally effective op.suggested by the surgeon in prague.hope this clears it up a bit and thankyou again.i just have to find out about the liver diet next.xxxxxz

How exciting..the procedure sounds very interesting. Who is your surgeon and what clinic in Prague are you going to? I think you might get lots of questions about it!!

The surgeon is prof martin fried its through a compnay called bbc (bodies beautiful).
