Getting weighed on surgery date?

Hi guys,

Do you get weighed on the day of surgery?

I'm due my op on 1st Feb and gained a few pounds over xmas.

Just wondering if you get weighed and also if they would cancel your op if you were heavier than last time you saw the bariatric team?

Hello.... I'm not familiar with your pct, although i am moving down to Chippenham within the next two months so may well be neighbours

Do your pct make it a condition that you have to lose a certain amount of weight before you get the surgery? If so i would suggest you get onto your low cal diet and try and shift some of it... If not then i don't see as it would make so much difference. If you are concerned then ring your pct and ask them....

Thanks. My surgeon didn't give me an amount to lose but said I needed to lose some weight before going on the waiting list, which I did.

Now i'm worried that they'll weigh me on the day of my surgery and cancel it.

When are you moving to Chippenham? Do you know Chippenham well?
