Just a daft question. Do they weigh you before you go for your op? I have this awful worry that my scales and their scales will be wrong as its happened before at the doctors by about 5lb and i wont have lost enough!

They weighed me at Salford but they didn't say anything about it even though I had put weight on since my first appointment.

Alex, they nearly forgot to weigh me... so don't worry, it was eventually done by a night nurse and like Jacqui says it was very casual at Salford... I'd regained too... so don't worry love.

I also put 5lbs on in hospital before I came home post surgery, with drips, that soon went... after a few days.

Good luck precious and here for you xxx

the only reason they weigh you before the op is so they know how much anaesthetic you need as that is given based on weight along with some other meds. dont worry you will be fine!!

Seems its routine at your hospital but they didnt weigh me in Sheffield. xxx
