Going to GP today for a referal

Well im off to GP today for a referal for a lapband on NHS. MY BMI is almost 41 so so im hoping he will refer me. Has anyone with similar BMI been refused? Not sure what im going to say when i get there im a bit paranoid as no matter what i say he will probably have heard it all a thousand times before! Im dreading him turning me down, it's almost putting me off going! I will go though and fingers croosed he will refer me.

hi tracy hpoe all goes well 4u hun i went private for my bypass as i was refused point blank and my bmi was 65 lol now its 41, as ive lost 8 stone keep ur chin up and go 4 it u wont regret it take care xxx
