Going to see the GP in an hour...any last min advice!!!

Hi Eeveryone,

I'm going to see my GP to ask for refering me for the surgery in an hour. I have printed out the BOSPA and NICE criteria and a 12 page document on pregnancy after wls which i gathered from different websites. Do i need to take anything else with me or is this enough. Please give me some tips if u have which helped you get the referral.

UPDATE:

I went to the GP and i was surprised that she told me thatit lookes like i have lost weight. I told her all about what is goig on with me and all about the new GP. I requested her to refer me and cried like a baby. She did understant all my problems but she said that its no on her hand to refer me now as i have already been removed from the system. She said she will write a letter to my new GP and tell her about what happened today. I told her that its the last option for me, i have already gathered all the information i need to know and checked that i meet the surgery criteria. she was pleased. I am happy that it went well and now thinking if the new GP will agree to refer me or not.

well done hun you did well, at least your old gp is writing to your new gp and advising that surgery might be the best thing for you. your new gp will probably agree. good luck sounds like it wont be long before you get a referral. xxx

awww.. farzu... well done hunni for getting through that appointment and well done for going so well 'researched' too.. must have been such a hard day for you but try and think positive!

your old gp sat and listened - which is what you needed to happen and she's agreed she'll contact current gp and see if she can help (which is damn site more than happened before with new gp)

That is fantastic news I honestly can`t see why the new Doctor can`t refer you because its costing him/her nothing . God if I got referred to Belfast you would think they would do it for you . I wonder if you could demand it can you look it up on the computer but I don`t want to get you into trouble lol its really annoying . Good luck and take care.

Thanks a lot ladies, I wouldn't have the courage without all your advice and supports. I'm very glad and lucky that i got this forum on time. Thanks to all of you from the bottm of my heart. I took another appointment with another doctor from the new Practice tomorrow. He is the oldest doc in the practice. Lets see how it goes. I'm just desperate.
