Well I finally have my date for my bypass.

9th July at the Thornbury in Sheffield. (so much for ore op saying would be at the NGH).

Starting to hit home now

The member of Mr Ackroyds team I saw told me it would either be NGH or Thornburys and he assured me both were equally good hospitals.

Lucy, it is starting to hit home a bit now. How long were you in for?

Going to have fun at a family party on 30th as I will be on the milk diet, so while everyone else is getting merry I will be sober as a judge lol.

Op on Wednesday home Friday afternoon, first night in high dependency which is a room with you n a nurse all night then private room for one night then home
Diet coke n cups of tea kept me sane on milk diet but it really really isn't that bad x

I was in Thornbury too I went in Sunday teatime ... is that an option for you? It really is a fabulous hospital xxx

Yes ... I went in Sunday teatime & was second on the list the following morning. Are you diabetic? I was & I think that may have been why but not sure. It can't hurt to ask xxx

Not diabetic but coming from about 30 miles away. Impossible to get there for 7 without a car

If they want you there for 7am you could be first on the list so I would ring & ask about being admitted the night before .... like I said, it can't hurt to ask x

I'm just going off what they said at pre op. then again at pre op said op would be at General.
