Green tea for metabolism - anyone have?

I've just started drinking green tea as it was suggested that it can help with metabolism and increasing it.

I am just wondering if anyone else drinks it, if so, how many do you have a day, or how many cups have you personally needed a day to notice any difference in your metabolism?

Or have you tried it and found it didn't help? Any experiences with it would be welcome :)

I was pointed towards extra strength green tea capsules by a nutritionist once. Very expensive, zero effect. So can't recommend I'm afraid!

I drink green tea all the time, I'm not sure if it increases your metabolism but it definitely make you go to loo more, which is good for water retention. I love the taste so don't think it hurts. I know some people who put a bag of green tea with their normal tea so they get the benefits without tasting it too much :) x

Green tea with lemon is ok but really love Liqourice & Oriental Spices Tea Bags from H&B

I don't like the taste but can just about take the peppermint and green tea ones. Don't know if it helps but it makes me feel righteous lol x

Was going to say the same as Shelley Ive only heard that its good for water retention. I too could not get on with the taste so cant help either top-cat. hope you get the result you are seeking.xx

Nettle tea, oolong tea and peppermint tea are also good.

Not suppose to make green tea with totally boiling water or it makes it bitter.

I put peppermint tea in with most teas to modify flavour.

They usually suggest at least 2 cups a day x
