Just been informed that my surgery had been postponed until 4th December . To say I'm disappointed is an understatement having been mentally preparing for 12th November.

Going to have a few days of eating low calorie food then restart pre op milk diet grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

what a bummer that must be for you. like you say have a mini break then jump back on that milky moo moo!

You must be gutted but look what you,ve got to look forward to...happy and healthy, you,ve already been a long tome waiting so look on it as a test of your determination! Good luck and all the best

Awwww sorry hun. Thankfully you have a new date to look too though ;) Keep hanging in there x

Pants! What a blow. At least you have another date not too far away. Pecker up pet. It will come round soon enough. Hugs x

What a nightmare this news is :( its a real blow when you prepare yourself mentally for the date!

I am a great believer in everything happening for a reason, so maybe the Gods of fate did not want you to have your op on the original date. That is probably small comfort to you and you must be really disappointed. I hope your new date comes around quickly xxx

Thanks guys. Yesterday was a crap day anyway and this news didn't help. In a more positive mindset today .Oh well as Nietzshe says " what doesn't kill us makes us stronger"

I agree with MazRob things happen for a reason..maybe it wasn't your day to be operated on and things may have gone wrong..so your new date will be special and things will go smoothly :)

Wow, you are stronger than I would have been, but as others have said, take it as a sign that wasn't the right time, but the new date is x x

I feel your pain! My surgery was delayed, too, after the anaesthesiologist had to fly home to the UK when his father died. Because of my heart failure is sure, my surgeon want comfortable with having someone else step in. However, 6 months down the track and the wee delay at the start is just a distant memory.

All the best for your op and I hope the extended pre-op diet isn't too hard. If it's any consolation, I found it easier as time went by.

Hmmm ... Not sure why my post appeared here twice! Must be a gremlin .... I'll just remove the double-up.

:)

Oh gosh, I'm sorry to hear that.

You do sound like you are in a good place though. The upside is the surgery is definitely going ahead, you will definitely loose weight and you will definitely be happier!
