Hi Marie - How are you doing since your op?

Well it is only 4 weeks tomorrow isn`t it; I guess it depends how you feel in yourself, though I would be worried about you overdoing it as it is still quite early.

You probably need to get some advice from your bariatric team at your hospital, they have expertise on differing stages of surgery, certainly by the New Year you will have probably recovered enough and have much more energy.

What does the cross - trainer involve is it just like a walking/running machine or much more energetic? I know walking would never be a problem as they advise it for us all after surgery, just be careful not to overdo it!

I admire you wanting to go for it, I feel as energetic as a slug in the lettuce olympics. But then I guess I`m just one of the elder statesmen/ladies (ha ha!)

Good Luck on doing so well post op, and take care hun x

Love and Best Wishes Kat x

Hi

Walking is fine as soon as you can, so outside or on the treadmill. Swimming not until all wounds are healed (around 6 weeks) because of infection risks. Cross trainer, weight etc I would also suggest waiting til 6 weeks and even then take it easy. As always though check with your team x
